The legendary Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas is welcome to attend the Browns’ training camp.
One of the biggest reasons that Thomas is welcome there is because of his experience. He’s even been giving advice to Jedrick Wills Jr.
#Browns Bill Callahan said Jedrick Wills is "coming along." Said Joe Thomas has been "incredibly helpful" in developing him through training camp.

Browns’ coach Kevin Stefanski knows how valuable Thomas can be for the offensive line.
“Joe is always welcome here. I have told him that. He can come every day if he wants. We will set up a locker for him. He is somebody who has done it at such a high level for such a long time and been through the ups and downs of an NFL season, so I just feel like he has a lot to offer our guys. As much as Joe is willing, we are always willing to take him here in Berea.”
Thomas will undoubtedly be in the hall of fame, even though he retired a little early. And Wyatt Teller knows just how good he was.
“You’d have to be crazy not to say Joe wasn’t the best at tackle, especially pass pro. He had to play a lot of games where we were passing 60, 70, 80 percent of the game because the Cleveland Browns were down. I wasn’t here yet, but the Cleveland Browns had to pass a lot. To do what he was doing at his level, you’d have to be crazy to not let him in and coach your players. Obviously, the techniques are a little different.”
Even down to his work ethic, Teller knows that Thomas was amazing.
“He had this note card system, which was mind-boggling. The smallest little details he would focus on and he would write it down. I think at one point he had every single game he ever played in almost down to the snaps of guys that he played and second-team defensive ends that turned into being starters down the road, and he would know exactly what they were working on the year before. His attention to details, his tenacity, his intent — he’s a stud.”
The Browns haven’t been able to have any retired veterans come to their training camp to give advice to the younger players due to covid, but now the Browns have one of the best offensive linemen to ever play the game to give some pointers.
