Best remaining players for the Las Vegas Raiders on day three of the 2024 NFL Draft
Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders just capped off a very successful day two of the 2024 NFL Draft, and they look to be having one of the best drafts they have had in a while. But they are not done yet - to do that, they would need to nail this last day of the draft.

Day three can be tough, as you don't know what will happen in three rounds regarding trades and the way the draft board falls. We do know that the Las Vegas Raiders still have a few needs they have to address, and they have five picks left as of right now.

They still need a cornerback, quarterback, defensive tackle depth, a linebacker, and even a safety. So, I have put together a list of four players who I think are the best remaining players for the Raiders.

Four best remaining players for the Raiders

QB Spencer Rattler, South Carolina

At this point, taking a quarterback would be a low-risk, high-reward type of move. The draft board is not favoring quarterbacks after six went in the first 12 picks of the 2024 NFL Draft. So, it's looking like maybe the Raiders could grab a developmental guy at the position for really cheap. That guy could be Rattler, who has potential but is still pretty raw. And, who knows, maybe Rattler could battle Minshew and O'Connell for that top spot.

CB Cam Hart, Notre Dame

The Raiders went with Jakorian Bennett on day three last season toward the beginning of the fourth round. They could do something similar here, as the cornerbacks available now are much better than those available at the pick last season. Hart is a good player that needs a bit of development. Luckily, they have guys around him who could make him better. I'd love the pick.

LB Jeremiah Trotter, Clemson

Trotter was widely viewed as the second-best linebacker in this class and is certainly a top-five linebacker. The Raiders don't have an insane need at linebacker at this moment, but they will next year. After 2024, they have one linebacker on the books, Amari Burney, and that just won't cut it. Trotter could be a really solid fit and play a key role even this season.

QB Joe Milton, Tennessee

The same goes for Rattler; only I think you could spend an even lower draft pick on Milton with just as high an upside. His ceiling is incredibly high, but his floor is also pretty low. We know he has a cannon for an arm, and he is athletic. The Raiders need a guy who can make plays, and he can do that, but the growing pains will certainly be there.

There are a ton more, too, like T.J. Tampa from Iowa State, Jaden Hicks from Washington State, and so on. However, these three guys are the best remaining and best fit for the Raiders. The way this draft is trending, the Raiders will likely come away with some solid players.
